It didn’t take too long for me to realize that if thumbnail archives were a good idea for luminosity’s date-based archives, they would be an even better idea for the category-based archives. The monthly archives could only have a maximum of 31 entries, where any particular category archive might contain many times that number of entries. The solution was similar to that employed to create the new thumbnail archives for each months’ entries, but of course with a slight technical wrinkle.
I do kind of like this new way of viewing the archives; rather than seeing the images full size, all on one page, (which takes forever to load), this way I can see most of them at once, and see how they compare to each other.
