I had a nice 25 mile ride along the south San Francisco bay in late March. I started at the Palo Alto Duck Pond and rode south past Shoreline Amphitheater and Moffett Field, ending by doing a loop just north of the Twin Creeks sports complex in Sunnyvale before returning to Palo Alto.
Fantastic views of familiar sites from an unfamiliar perspective, nice gravel path (just like here in Kansas!), tons of birds when the path ran adjacent to the shoreline and great weather made for a great ride!
