He was purring, softly, right through the end. But it was time and I promised him a long time ago I would do the right thing at the right time.
We had a good 2 or 3 day good-bye/hospice last week and he never suffered.
RIP Aiko, 2019(?)-2024
This is one of the first pictures I took of Aiko, in early March 2020. He was still a stray at this point and we had no idea what the next 4 wonderful years would bring.
This is one of my favorite shots of Aiko. It’s been my phone background for a couple of years.
There will be more Aiko photos in the coming months. Right now I just miss him more than words can tell.
