I wanted to go for a bike ride while my car was being serviced today.
I checked the map and was pleasantly surprised at the number of dedicated trails there are in Salina.
The trail began as a wide paved sidewalk, right across from the dealer. After heading south and east for a couple of miles and crossing an un-assisted busy intersection, the trail turned to dirt.
There it followed the top of the flood control levees around the east edge of Salina.
Magnificent ride! Loved the views along the way and also noticed how many new housing developments have sprung up right next to the levee.
I turned around just south of Indian Rock, but the trail actually continues north a good distance; I’ll check it out some day I’m sure!
Here are a few photos I took along the way.
