No doubt, there are many disadvantages to having a birthday near Christmas.
But, as it turns out, there is one advantage; I can often get my “best” present early, especially if it’s something photography related.
This year was no exception, and today I unpacked a 2 light studio flash kit from Elinchrom.
But before going on, I just have to note that this year I received the gift I wanted the most in the world, and that is having Sheryl at my side to help mark another circle around the sun. So glad you made it!
The Elinchrom D-LiTE RX 4 2 light kit comes with two 400 W/s flash heads (complete with modeling lamps), two softboxes, Manfrotto light stands and a wireless trigger that mounts on the camera’s hot shoe.
And so my exploration of flash photography continues.
Here are my first 3 shots from tonight, taken using one of the two flashes. Additional shots are available on Flickr.
