Wobbly Windows not Wobbly?

If you’re running a current version of KDE (v4 as of this writing) and are having trouble getting Wobbly Windows to work this how to tip may help. It worked for me on CentOS 7 and KDE 4.10.5.

It’s simple really. To immediately enable wobbly windows, simply enter the following command:

KWIN_COMPOSE=O2 kwin –graphicssystem raster –replace &

You can now enable wobbly windows via Desktop Effects, under System Settings.

To avoid having to type the previously mentioned command every time the system reboots, do the following:

edit /etc/profile

add the following line:

export KWIN_COMPOSE=O2

After that, may your windows be wobbly!
