We’re Still Waiting

This is the tail end of a once meaningful discussion over on rec.photo.digital:

OK.

If a train left Philadelphia at 8:30 AM heading south and another train left Chicago heading west at 7:45 PM, both traveling at 18 MPH and fifteen minutes later a Continental 747 took off from JFK, while at the same time a 86 pound Yellow Labrador sniffs and pees on the yard marker of John Jones of 1204 Main Street in Akron Ohio and proceeds across the street heading north at precisely 17 minutes and 38 seconds after the Chicago train crosses the Illinois border, then what should I do to my 401K when a butterfly in Bangkok gets splattered on the windshield of a Vespa heading south on Route 1?
