If you are reading this, then it means that the migration of my blog’s content from one mysql database to another was successful. The reasons for doing the migration were at least two-fold: I wanted to see if I could repeat my earlier experience of exporting and importing my movabletype mysql database. I also wanted to scrub the content a bit before the importation.
Scrub == modifying content so that my blog pages more closely approach standards compliant web pages. This included adding “alt” tags to images and ensuring that all “&”s were properly represented, among other things. The entire site is not yet compliant, but progress is being made.
