The other day I followed Dave’s link to Susan Kitchen’s detailed and very interesting Mars update site. Being naturally curious, I went exploring and stumbled across a very nicely done multimedia story located in the hand-crafted index section. Written about 4 years ago, and supported by some great photos, it describes SK’s visit to Lake George, NY.
In her own words:
In which a California native takes digital camera and powerbook with her on her three-week visit to upstate New York to be with her 99-year-old grandfather during a cold, gorgeous January.
If you don’t have time to review the whole site, do be sure to take a look at the wonderful photos of steam rising from the lake. Also, the entries discussing her grandparents view of General Electric from a half century ago are priceless. True history, unfiltered by corporate PR sensibilities.
