Here’s a set of photos taken during a recent trip to northeast Kansas.
The photos are from the Prairie Spirit Trail near Ottawa and Clinton Lake, right outside of Lawrence.
They’ve all been processed using a variety of tools; the details are provided below each image. In addition to the specific tools used on a given image, all have had a the typical mix of Adobe Photoshoop Lightroom adjustments applied, such as color balance, brightness, and so on.
This west-facing view from a bridge on the Prairie Spirit Trail was processed using Topaz Simplify.
::
This image of a bridge on the trail was converted to black and white using Silver Efex Pro 2 program and then had the On Drugs preset from Trey’s Lightroom Presets applied.
::
This east-facing view from the same bridge as above was processed as an HDR image using Photomatix or HDR Efex Pro; I simply can’t remember.
::
This image of Clinton Lake was processed solely within Lightroom. The color temperature was dropped quite a bit, bringing out the blue in the water, and the orange was increased, just a bit, to compensate.
::
This image is a crop of the one below, which was then processed using Fractalius.
::
This image was primarily enhanced via the use of the Amazing Raisins preset, also from Trey.
::
Sunset at Clinton Lake. The main contributor to this image was the Glowing Beyond the Heavens Lightroom preset, also from Trey.

All photos beautiful but THIS ONE is absolutely gorgeous!
