I was fortunate to capture a few images demonstrating the dramatic storm clouds that are common in central Kansas in the summer. The first two are from early July, and the last one is from later in the month.

The first two were taken north of McPherson.

This one was taken due west of Lindsborg; you can barely make out the water tower.

All images were processed as HDR images. HDR stands for high dynamic range, and essentially images are “stretched” so that the shadows show more detail than typical. More info is available in the article I wrote a while back: Misc HDR images.
