I love paintings by Monet, and our trip to (the French-named city of) St. Louis awoke my interest in water lilies, so a trip to the Musée de l’Orangerie, was definitely in order. This building was specially built to display some of Monet’s largest works, known as the Nymphéas.
As you can see from the photo above, the completed images (made from multiple panels) are over 50 feet in length. Actually, the entire history of the Orangerie is pretty interesting, well worth the read.

I took a few other photos of paintings that caught my eye. The one below is for Marsha, Julie-Ann and the rest of the crew at the Red Barn Studio; it reminded Sheryl and I of one of Raymer’s jesters.
