Father’s Day Ride

Rode my 3rd longest ride ever today, a bit over 50 kilometers! (31+ miles in other words 🙂 It also capped my 2nd highest weekly mileage, at 79 miles, not quite reaching the previous high of 80 miles.

I rode from Hellyer Park down past the end of the trail by a couple of miles. The end of the trail is nominally at the base of Anderson Lake, but in reality is a couple of miles away. Oh well, it was a really great ride, with Kansas like south winds pushing me back almost effortlessly.

15+ miles in, and this was as close as I got to the base of the dam at Anderson Lake. Not bad, and I wasn’t going to climb to the top in any case.

Sheryl suggested I eat here for lunch. I though of my friend Julie-Ann, both for the food and the number of families.
