Estes Park Pics

Here are some images I took during our recent trip to Estes Park, Colorado. What a lovely town! Not too touristy, beautiful, breathtaking scenery; we’ll be back.

You can view more, and larger, versions of these photos by visiting my Estes Park page on Flickr.

Here’s a view of the town from the southeast corner, a hill overlooking the lake. Taken while riding my bike along the very lovely trail. Every time I ride a nice trail in a different town it reinforces just how smart and progressive Lindsborg was when we built our trail.

Sitting on top of the world! Starved for oxygen, I nonetheless took a short hike while near the top of RMNP and grabbed this “top of the world” shot.

Bull Elk, Estes Park

Coming back into Estes Park from the southwest near sunset, the road was lined with a small herd of elk. Very majestic and stately and not one bit afraid of humans. (I still kept a safe distance.)
